The most interesting shops, markets and boutiques are located in the Casco Antiguo and El Eixample districts. You will find the main design brands along the Passeig de Gracia and in the El Eixample district. If you prefer small antiques or handcraft shops, you will go to the Barrio Gótico and the El Borne districts, both located in the Casco Antiguo district of the city. Shopping: Opening hours Most of the shops are closed on sundays and are opened till 2:00pm on saturdays. During the week, most of them are opened till 8pm with a break from 2pm to 4pm for the small ones. Shopping: Magazines and newspapers You will find them in most of the european languages in the news-stands and stalls along Las Remblas. The french firm La Fnac, located in Plaza Catalunya, offers a wide range of books and magazines with an english and a french division. Shopping: Interesting places Vinçon in Passeig de Gracia 96, El Eixample: Vinçon is one of the most original design shop of Barcelona. You will find there from modern pieces of furniture to small useful and funny gadgets for the house. You can not miss the modernist home in the top floor (closed to the public at lunch time). La Manual Alpargatera, c/Avinyo 7, Barrio Gotico: The best range of alpargatas of Barcelona at very interesting prices. You will find there the typical Tabarner alpargata, used by Catalans for their typical Sardana dance. If you are interested in discovering this typical dance, you may go and see it at the Cathedral every sunday from midday to 2pm. Masajes a 1000, C/Mallorca 233, El Eixample (93 215 85 85): After a long shopping day, nothing better than a relaxing massage to loosen the tension.
