The chalet can accommodate up to 12 people and has everything you need to enjoy a pleasant stay in a family atmosphere. It is a building of stone and slate, typically Aran, south facing and surrounded by garden and mountain views. It has a living area of 225 m2 across two floors and an attic.

The ground floor is an open space for living, dining and cooking. Wood, antique furniture, a huge stone fireplace, the lounge chairs and piano bring a special warmth to these rooms that look out through large windows to the surrounding countryside. On this floor, we can also find a guest bathroom and the engine room. One thing you may want to note is that the kitchen has a wood oven to bake bread in a traditional way.

The second floor is divided into three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate sauna. The master suite has a terrace, whirlpool, shower room and a large loft space where you can find two beds. Another of the double rooms can also be transformed into quadruple thanks to a convertible sofa bed. There are a further four beds in the cosy attic of the house. Finally, there is a second mezzanine seating area. All in all, the house is tastefully decorated and fully equipped.

The garden, that can be accessed directly from the ground floor, is one of the strengths of this property. It is a 700m2 patch of garden with fir, ash, fruit trees and even a smaller secluded garden, the whole thing is surrounded by forests of beech trees.

Its owner is a young biologist from a family of hoteliers who have lived in the area for several decades. He is a nature enthusiast and very knowledgeable of the environment and so he has left his books, maps and personal memories in order to convey his own knowledge and help the curiosity to his guests. You can easily learn the cultural heritage and landscape of the area in which he loves and lives. He is responsible for meeting the customers directly and in turn he will offer his own added value and personal attention in order to suit your specific needs. He can facilitate any type of babysitting or cleaning, he can fill the fridge with local produce, providing ski passes or advice on excursions and tours of the surrounding area.

About the Location

The chalet is located in the Vall de Aran, 1,000 meters altitude and only five minutes walk from the town center of Vielha. It is also just a 15 minute drive from the ski resort of Baqueira.

The town is located in the hills and seems like a typical ski-resort town. However, the town has history and there is a bustling old quarter where you can find roman architecture including a Romanesque church and narrow streets filled with a great selection of restaurants and a couple of late-night bars. All year round you will find that this destination is popular for hikers and climbers as well as various other extreme sports. It is handy to know that guides are available all year-round and can be arranged through the tourist office.
