Sevilla, Andalusia - Show on map
This bright and spacious 3-bedroom apartment in the historic centre of Seville is spread over 2 floors and can accommodate up to 6 guests. It has a large terrace and is the perfect home for both family holidays or enjoying a few days in the city with friends. Its great location means that you will be able to experience the bustle of Seville all year round or come Easter, watch the famous processions which literally go past the front door!
Preserving the structural elements and layout of the original building, the interior décor has a decidedly contemporary look. Sloping ceilings, pillars, open spaces and split levels become decorative elements, with different materials and colour schemes separating the various spaces. Light is a prominent feature, flooding into all the rooms from big windows and small balconies. The décor cleverly combines simple, practical furniture and contemporary canvases by local artists with Spanish antiques and more traditional paintings and prints, affording elegance and character. The classic Sevillian woodwork on doors, windows and balconies creates a sense of warmth and cosiness, all whilst reminding guests of the vast history of the area they are staying in.
The apartment is spread over 200m2, with the spacious living area on the lower floor. It comprises an entrance hall, living room, library, dining room and reading area, as well as a modern, fully equipped kitchen, which is ideal not only for cooking but also for hosting family meals at the small, glass table. The heart of the house is undoubtedly the large living room. Full of light and tastefully decorated, the appearance of space in the room is only amplified by its spectacular vertical height. It features comfortable sofas, designer 20th-century chairs and charming pieces of side furniture, making it the perfect space for enjoying long and memorable evenings with loved ones. There is a large built-in bookcase and a work corner with a beautiful writing table. It sits on a platform that leads through to the dining room, where a beautifully carved, wooden table is surrounded by chairs and bookcases.
Upstairs, there are 3 generously sized bedrooms, each one full of light and with plenty of storage space in built-in wardrobes. The master bedroom, carefully decorated with a studied degree of sobriety, has a large double bed, a small, private sitting room and double doors which open up onto a small balcony. The second and third bedrooms both have twin beds and a clean, warm décor which serves to highlight the pretty pieces of furniture and art provided in each. There are 3 bathrooms across the apartment, all with baths.
To top it all off, there is a stunning open terrace from which to enjoy glorious sunsets and Seville’s picturesque skyline, with parapets, church towers and rooftops. Thanks to the wonderful temperatures that prevail in Europe’s sunniest city, it can be enjoyed all year round!
Additional amenities include air conditioning, heating, wifi, tv, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, bedding and towels.
This stunning apartment is close to the Avenida de la Constitución and the cathedral, in the old Royal Mint (Casa de la Moneda). During the golden age of the Spanish empire, boatloads of gold and silver from the recently discovered American continent arrived at the port of Seville and were brought to the Royal Mint, between the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower) and the Torre de la Plata (Silver Tower).
Today, however, the real treasure is the place itself: a perfect pied-à-terre from which to explore the beautiful historic centre of the city and the Barrio de Santa Cruz, where you will find many of Seville’s most famous tourist attractions, including the Cathedral of Seville, the Real Alcázar and the Plaza de España. Alternatively, you could take a romantic stroll along the Guadalquivir river, which is just around the corner from the apartment, and cross into Triana, the old fishing quarter imbued with the very essence of Seville. Triana is the birthplace of some of the greatest flamenco dynasties, as well as being the historic centre of traditional ceramics production.
